Full title: Native Vegetation in Restored and Created Wetlands. Subtitled, Its Establishment and Management in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, this book was produced by Daniel B. Shaw in cooperation with the Board of Water & Soil Resources (BWSR) and the University of Minnesota Dept. of Horticultural Sciences. The book presents a discussion of the need to preserve native vegetation and instructs the reader on how to successfully establish it in restored and created wetlands. Included within its pages is a thoughtful review of a variety of issues: How to analyze wetland, buffer and surrounding area, how to select plants and prepare the site for planting, how to create a restoration plan map, planting strategies, maintenance, PLUS detailed appendices.
